According to the Financial Times, which reviewed the minutes of the December 13, 2011, meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee, part of the Federal Reserve, said they believe the following remarks mean that QE3 could be coming: "A number of members indicated that current and prospective economic conditions could well warrant additional policy accommodation."  

This is a reasonable finding by the Times, seeing as how there isn't much additional policy accommodation that the Federal Reserve can do besides quantitative easing.  As previously explained by APN, quantitative easing is essentially the process of the Federal Reserve creating more money to meet the country's debts, and actually it's not a bad thing, especially given that the US government has the sole constitutional authority to create money.  See APN's previous coverage on quantitative easing for more.
